Course Overview

Royal Dornoch

Many of our golf tours start in the Highlands and Royal Dornoch is one big reason why.  This course consistently appears on almost every list as one the best in the world and is certainly on one of the must-play courses in Scotland .

Formed in 1877, this course was home to the legendary Donald Ross.  The course hugs the rugged coastline of Scotland stretching along the windswept dunes of the Dornoch Firth.  With its traditional out-and-back layout, each hole presents a unique challenge, demanding precision and respect for the elements.  This course is blessed with many “signature holes”.  The par 4 #14 (Foxy) is as perfect of a par 4 as you will find in golf.  Don’t be fooled by the lack of bunkers, the natural mounds and raised green will give you all the challenges you need!  Did I mention that it’s almost always playing into the prevailing wind?

On top of the exceptional golf and breathtaking views, you will enjoy the relaxed, informal environment and highlands hospitality.
