Course Overview
Royal Troon
Nestled along the rugged Ayrshire coastline, Royal Troon reigns as one of Scotland’s most iconic links courses and will look to provide yet another historic finish as it prepares to host The Open Championship in 2024. Established in 1878, its design seamlessly blends with the natural contours of the land, offering breathtaking views of the North Sea.
Royal Troon is more than just a beautiful landscape. It’s home to some of the most famous holes in golf. Don’t be fooled by the Signature Hole – 8th “Postage Stamp” status as the shortest par 3 on the Open roster. Its extremely narrow green set into the side of a large sandhill guarded by deep bunkers will give you all the challenge you need. The par 4 11th ‘Railway’ hole, has the reputation of being one of the one of the most challenging holes in all of major golf.
