Course Overview

Crail Balcomie

Crail Golfing Society is the world’s 7th oldest golf club, instituted in February 1786. It operates two outstanding coastal courses, Balcomie and Craighead Links, both offering spectacular coastal views of the Forth and Tay estuaries.  Balcomie Links was designed in 1895 by Old Tom Morris.  What this course may lack in distance (a par 69 playing at just under 6,000 yards), it makes up for in charm with its incredible seaside setting and variety of golf holes played through natural changes in elevation.

Perched high on a rock overlooking the 18th green on the Balcomie Course with 270-degree views of the sea, the clubhouse of Crail Golfing Society affords one of the most spectacular locations for any clubhouse in Scotland.
