Course Overview

Prestwick Golf Club

Founded in 1851, Prestwick Golf Club boasts the title of “The Birthplace of the Open Championship,” having hosted the prestigious tournament twelve times between 1860 and 1925.   This Old Tom Morris design is packed with blind shots, drivable par 4s, desert-sized bunkers and rollercoaster greens.

Prestwick is famed as much for its history and championship course as it is for the warm welcome it extends to visiting golfers. Every effort is made to make visitors feel part of the club to such an extent that each one is granted club membership for the day.  Guests are encouraged to take full advantage of the services including gathering in the Smoke Room and having formal lunch at the long table in the Dining Room.
